Issue 9 of Tauko magazine is dedicated to the color blue! The color of the sky, seas and lakes inspired a collection of nine sewing patterns by international designers. Serenity and tranquility are present in these designs, which include dresses, blouses, casual pants and a coat to keep you warm against the winter chills. Patterns are included for tracing in sizes UK 6 – 32.

The latest addition to Sew Over It's vintage collection, Viola features a buttoned front, flat collar, ruched waist and shoulders, lined back yoke, slightly dropped shoulders and wide waistband. The piece de resistance is the ruched panel at the back, which makes Viola comfortable to wear while giving you a nicely fitted look.

The last trio from Atelier Jupe is pretty good. The Dani jacket is my favorite (and most popular so far!). Perfect for a pretty teddy or quilted fabric, you can make Dani with a zipper or snap button placket, and with a hood or collar.

The Alana dress will have you ready for the party season. There are three waistband options to suit different sewing levels and the back is elasticated, so you don't need to struggle with a zipper – yay!

The Este shirt is a wardrobe staple with a relaxed fit. You can choose between a classic shirt collar with a stand-up collar or a fun lapel collar (that's how I would choose!).

Merchant & Mills have released something a little different that will make your home ultra comfortable in time for the hygge season. The Grove Creations bundle contains four DIY designs for the home: a comforter set, a pillowcase, a comforter, a sofa/bed mattress topper, and a casual blind. No pattern pieces are needed, just the measurements and instructions so you don't have to swim in mountains of paper!

Whether you call it turtleneck, polo neck, turtleneck or skivvy, this semi-fitted long-sleeve top combines comfort and style. The Basic Turtleneck Juliana Martejevs has a step-by-step video tutorial (in German with English subtitles) so you can follow along if you prefer to watch the steps while you sew!

Looking for something to sew for the holiday season that isn't a dress? I love them. Pair them with a knit or a sparkly blouse and you'll be ready for the holiday season. The Named Mimosa culottes interestingly combine minimalist details and impressive volume. The front features slanted pleats and a front zip fly. The narrow waist fastens at the front with a concealed button and hook. The pants also feature subtle side slash pockets.
