Tauko Magazine has PDF templates for some of the fabulous designs in their magazine. There are two combinations, the perfect evening dress and a jazzy basic top in the first drop of patterns.

  • The Judith jumpsuit by Kaisa Rissanen is a timeless jumpsuit with a pointed collar and a pretty snap button placket. It has side pockets and a belt in the same fabric. In cold weather, the designer wears a turtleneck underneath.
  • The Sparkle shirt by Kaisa Rissanen plays with the rhythm of the transparent striped fabric. The bodice features lined fabric for full coverage, while the top and sleeves have just a single layer of sheer knit.
  • The Alexis Jumpsuit by Kaisa Rissanen is a versatile jumpsuit that offers endless functionality and comfort. It has a small high collar, a chest pocket, side pockets on the hips and a belt in the same fabric with loops.
  • Mila Moisio's Picnic dress has an angled hem with large pockets and a fitted bodice, creating an articulated, fun and sculptural silhouette.

My favorite of the five is a super comfy diaper. Mila Moisio's Hug Cape is a simple style that can easily vary in length and width. Just add a few inches to the front, sides and back and you'll have a more voluminous cape. Experimenting with different quilt batting will also allow you to create more looks from the same pattern!

Named has updated and re-released some favorites from its old catalog. It is my favorite. The Named Paola Turtleneck Tee is a lovely basic and I have sewn it several times. This timeless everyday tee features a double turtleneck and long sleeves and is easy to make and wear.

The Tyyni cigarette pants can do it all. From party pants to elegant pants to cool cigarette pants, they can be worn in so many ways. It features a slim fit, with curved side seams at the hips and waist, and slits at the hems, and you can iron or sew the pleats on the legs.

Itch to Stitch designs great wardrobe basics that require closer inspection of the line art because there is always so much more to discover. The Andes Jacket is a stylish take on a raincoat designed specifically for fleece-backed softshell fabric. Princess seams and bust cup options help you get the perfect fit.

The Merchant & Mills Betty Apron makes a great sew-on gift to spoil the cooks in your life with an apron they can treasure. Forget tedious ties, Betty slips over the apron with a pretty crossed back.

The Merchant & Mills RTR Backpack looks a little smarter than the average backpack. It's fully lined for durability and has three interior divided pockets for easy access to your belongings. The model also includes a shoulder bag as an alternative if you prefer that to a backpack style.

Finally, we have to share ALL these cute little brands from Merchant & Mills. These are great patterns if you're planning to sew gifts and some of them are FREE.
