Welcome to the September BOM (block of the month)! This month's theme is fall.
I designed this block on my computer months ago. When I started sewing it recently, I worked on it for three hours and then threw it in the trash.
I had done some weird and complicated things, and not only was it frustrating trying to sew, it wasn't even working. When I redesigned and simplified it, everything went well and everything went perfectly. Indeed, it's back to school (for me anyway!).
There's a really fun aspect to this block when you make a bunch of them and put them together. Check out the complete quilt following the instructions!
Many other designers are also ready to share their version of a fall block.
As a reminder, all blocks are 12″ x 12″ finished (12 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ unfinished), so they can be put together to form a quilt.
You will find links to all available blocks at the end of my article each month. They can be traditionally pieced, paper, applied, or whatever method each designer decides to use. You will see a bit of everything!
