As before, I used the Wiksten jacket pattern from Make a magazine – which was also later released as a standalone model, but is no longer available.*
The original pattern is doubled but as with the first version I made, I did not double this one; instead I used French seams on the inside and folded the bottom edge over for the hem. It's worth mentioning that this is essentially the same amount of sewing as if you were doubling it, because finishing the seams with a French or flat finish (like I did last time) involves sewing every seam twice. This has the added benefit of using less fabric and creating a lighter layer (spring!).
*But if you do not have this model and would like to own it, I suggest it Moss Jacket by Helen's Closet as an alternative – this looks fantastic and you could make a jacket similar to this!
