while reading: I reread Ruth Ozaki's A tale for now and I loved it once again.
picking: I'm planning to paint my studio – I've had it for almost a decade and it needs a refresh before I reopen it for workshops and open evenings this spring – and I'm currently choosing colors paint. It won't surprise anyone that I'm seriously considering this pink shade by Clare Paints.
knitting: With the help of my friend Shirley, I finally chose a pattern for my yellow Mad Hatter by Wonderland Yarns: THE Astragalus sweater by Ainur Berkimbayeva, and I'm well on my way to making the hem. Next stop: the sleeve island!
watching: Mr. Rae and I watched €€€ a few weeks ago for a date at home and it's so great. If you get a chance to see it on the big screen (a friend mentioned they're bringing it back to some theaters?), don't miss it!! It's also on Netflix. The dance number at the Oscars was cool, but it's even better in the movie.
sewing: I finally cut out a precious piece of Nani Iro double gauze and sewed it into a Wiksten Unfolding Jacket (pattern no longer available – try it Moss Jacket by Helen's Closet for something similar) last weekend. The double gauze is cozy but lightweight, so I expect it to be a fun warm weather layer.
confusing: Another week, another Piecework puzzle. Winner, winner I did not disappoint.
I wish you all a pleasant weekend! We're going to Kalamazoo on Sunday to celebrate spring birthdays with Mr. Rae's family, so I'll be knitting in the car.
