As part of the Riley Blake Designs Quilt Block Challenge, I have a free quilt block pattern for you. The block is called Daylesford and is a unique version of a variable star quilt block.
It’s week three of the 2024 Riley Blake Designs Quilt Block Challenge! This week's block is a fun star block designed by Amy Smart of Diary of a Quilter.
What is the Quilt Block Challenge
The Riley Blake Quilt Block Challenge is a five-month series of free quilt blocks. Each week from January through May, I will share a free quilt block pattern (except for the last week of the month, which is make-up week). A different Riley Blake fabric designer designs each block.
About my quilt block
This block is a twist on a traditional quilt block in the shape of an 8-pointed star with a pinwheel design in the center. The block is named after a posh farm Amy visited in the Cotswolds.
I'm making my blocks from my new Tulip Cottage fabric collection, which should be arriving in stores shortly!
The background fabric is Riley Blake Sparkler in white. I like that it adds just a little texture and sparkle to the background of the blocks.
How to get the block model
If you complete this form, I will email you a copy of the block template. This will add you to our free weekly newsletter, which will let you know when we have new block designs to share. Also don't worry if you fill out the form for each weekly block. You will not be added to our newsletter more than once!
You can also find the blocks on the Riley Blake website.
