As the leaves turn golden and the aroma of pumpkin spice fills the air, we welcome the month of November with open arms. It's that time of year when we sit comfortably in our homes, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends, and the tantalizing aromas of a Thanksgiving feast being prepared. But it's also the perfect time to unleash your creativity and embrace the art of sewing with a touch of Thanksgiving charm. We're already planning our designs for T-Day, and we thought you might want to get in on the process too. Here are three projects to sew for your Thanksgiving party!
1. A rainbow for the table
This set of easy to sew linen napkins by Purl Soho will freshen up your Thanksgiving table. A set of chunky gradient cotton quarters and sheer linen is all you need for these beauties! Personalize them to match your table decor or add a fall rainbow to the mix.
2. Fall for fall
We can't get enough of fall linen leaf rugs this time of year. They are so beautiful and offer the wonderful colors of fall even as winter approaches. Use them all season long, but especially for your Thanksgiving dinner. These are of course perfect placemats, but they also look pretty in a group as part of your centerpiece.
3. An apron for the ages
The apron is designed for the woodworking shop, but its ruggedness will see you through all the cooking and entertaining that comes with the holidays for years to come. You can remove some pockets to make it more kitchen friendly and easier to sew!
More aprons to make
Be the Belle of the (buttery) ball with projects from our apron sewing collection. Vacations can be complicated, but your clothes don't have to be! This collection of 10 aprons will give you plenty of Thanksgiving sewing projects!
We hope one of these projects inspires you to make your way to a comforting and elegant Thanksgiving. We are very grateful for our profession. We love sharing it with others, and we bet you do too!
